The convergence of news media weighs heavily on the shoulders of Quebec journalists, who did not always need the autonomy to resist the orders of their superiors, and this is especially true for journalists to Quebecor.

According to our research conducted last year, and whose final analysis has been published, the vast majority of journalists working for unionized Quebec conglomerates whose respect for the democratic mission and freedom inherent in journalism varies greatly . The research was conducted among 385 journalists working mainly for Radio-Canada, Gesca and Quebecor. This is the largest survey of its kind in Quebec.
