At first, speaking of myths about the French journalists may seem incongruous and moved. Common sense not invited us there not to be used only to describe the notion of primitive, archaic, ignorant, living in a corner of the ancient world or a country lost in the Third World? Is this not indeed a category of individuals who have high prestige, educational level and social background of a higher than average, and which is usually ready the ability to say the truth about its own practices? In addition, because they broadcast a lot of news, journalists and scholars immediately appear as relevant. How can we, in these conditions persist the preposterous idea that they adhere to myths about their own professional environment that is more, then they are supposed to know him better than any other because there are changing daily? Yet this challenge to common sense that we have tried to address in a book récent3.
