Best wishes for the film, which has anyway been a great year attendance issue in France. Avatar will position itself among the top 5 cards of all time. Does it serve the cause of cinema? Yes insofar as it maintains the feel of cinema people. Not to the extent where he confirms the tendency to put the technology before the story and characters.
For those who are not yet seen, Avatar is extremely linear, flat as his characters. But 3D is the service history and the world of Pandora and its indigenous peoples. Except that all this is much less successful than Princess Mononoke which is obviously inspired by (among other poetic creations of Miyazaki).
